Our Bangalore Chapters, led by our beloved Trustee Smt. Devkiji, completed reading the Bhagwath Katha in just 13 days. The icing on the cake was the bhajans conducted by Sri Jitender Joshi and team and Prasad Bhojan. The Bhagwath Katha invokes bhakti or devotion to Lord Vishnu.
Ms. Anuradha conducted a Healthy Minds program for 25 teachers on 7th April. Ms. Pavithra gifted Swamiji’s books to all the teachers.
Prasanna Trust in association with Bunts Sangha, Hyderabad organized a Sri Satyanarayana Pooja at Bunts Sangha Hall on 12th April. The Pooja was performed by Sri Jitender Joshi and was highly appreciated by all the members present.
Sri P.V.R.K. Prasad, Sri M.P. Subramaniam and Ms. Subhashini conducted a one-day training program for employees of MAK Projects on 14th and 15th of April. The program was well appreciated.
Koti Chapter: Dr. Muralidhar conducted the Healthy Minds Program for Om Sai Niketan High School on 15th April. He was supported by Sri P.M.C. Kiron, where 55 students participated and benefitted from the program.
On 22nd April 2015, Dr. Muralidhar conducted the Healthy Minds Program for 250 Students from Meridian School, Madhapur, Hyderabad. Due to the success of the program, one more session has been confirmed for teachers.
The Hyderabad Koti chapter arranged 60 satsangs or group meetings in the run up to Poojya Swamiji’s birthday. They were conducted every day at various volunteers’ homes.
Our Nallakunta and Chikkadpally Chapters of Hyderabad conducted a 1-day tailor-made workshop to middle management staff of MAK Projects, Hyderabad. Seminar Leaders, P.V.R.K. Prasad, Subramaniam and Subhashini, conducted two batches of the workshop on14th and 15th April. The topic was ‘Self Awareness based on Pancha Koshas’, which included Kundalini Pranayama and Yoga Nidra. The workshop was so well received that the company has requested more to be conducted.
Since February, our Nallakunta Chapter has also been providing Rs 5000/- per month towards food expenses, to the Home for Destitute Women run by Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust. During April we visited the home, along with the donor Smt Sita Lakshmi. On a similar note, Smt Annapurna and Venugopal, members of the chapter, have been providing hot meals cooked in their home to about 250 attendants of the patients of Govt. Niloufer Hospital for Children. They have been doing so every 3rd Saturday, since July 2014; we applaud them on their efforts.
Lucknow Awadh Chapter
More than 60 people donated blood on the 14th of April, thanks to the initiative of Dr. Chandra, our Prasannite at the Lucknow Awadh Chapter. The blood collected will go a long way towards saving many lives.
Dr. Chandra conducted Healthy Minds Program for 122 students and 10 faculty members from Ambedkar University on 21st April.
On 13th April, Ms. Asmita Gokhale, in association with other organizations, organized a self-defense workshop for ladies. Close to 60 ladies took part in the camp and learnt how to defend themselves in any situation.
Ms. Gokhale also conducted a Healthy Minds program at Vashi Sector – 6 in association with Rotary and Pratham E Computer Education. The program was attended by 80 participants.
Sri. Sriram Athri and Ms. Asmita Gokhale conducted a Healthy Minds program for Gurukul School on 16th & 17th April 2015. More than 400 students benefitted from this initiative. Athriji also conducted the program for 250 students at St. Elisus School, Khar West, Mumbai. Due to the growing impact of these programs, we are being requested to conduct more of them in schools.
Our young at heart senior most Seminar Leader Ms. Geetha Desai has conducted satsangs at various places during the month. Her passion for spreading Swamiji’s message of peaceful and happy living continues to burn brightly.
