Each year at Prasanna Trust, Swamiji’s birthday is marked as a special occasion for celebration. This April 26th was no different, with events taking place that aimed to spread his teachings as well as contribute to socially relevant causes.  Here are some of the things that took place during this happy occasion:

Constitution Meet

On the weekend of his birthday, 26th and 27th April, Prasanna Trust organized a two-day meet at Nirguna Mandir, where some major changes were initiated to help  spread the reach of Swamiji’s message and teachings. The Seminar Leaders and Incoming Chairmen of various chapters (SL and IC), under Swamiji’s guidance, adopted a new constitution. This is aimed as a working guide for chapters in all their initiatives.

The two-day training covered various aspects, including public speaking, new methodologies, hygiene and the ways to go forward. Swamiji initiated the ‘Bell Process’, where participants are given an anchor to conduct themselves in trying circumstances.

Blood Donation Camp

What better way to celebrate a birthday than by donating life-saving blood to those in need? This is one of the values sown by Swamiji, and at Prasanna Trust, we usually celebrate his birthday by conducting an annual blood donation camp. This year, the camp was organized at Nirguna Mandir with the help of Red Cross Society of India, which honoured Swamiji for this noble initiative.

Artificial Limbs and Calipers Distribution Camp

On the evening of his birthday, between 4 to 6 p.m., a total of 26 participants took part in the Artificial Limb and Calipers Distribution Camp. Calipers, moving chairs, artificial limbs, shoes, walking aid etc. were distributed, with snacks being provided earlier to the event. SEW Foundation was the main contributor for the corpus. Mr. N. K. Jaipuria & Family were the Chief Guest. We thank Mr. N. K. Jaipuria & Family and other Prasannites for the support extended for this camp.

Scholarship for Students from Economically Weaker Sections

Since 2004, Prasanna Trust has been providing scholarship for students from economically weaker sections.

This year, some of the students came to acknowledge the contributions of Prasanna Trust in their lives and shared it with the audience that had assembled for Swamiji’s birthday celebrations and ashirvachanam.

Dance Performance

A highlight of the April 26th evening was a dance recital by Kum. Athmika Reddy, granddaughter of Prassannite Nirmala Reddy. She performed three different rasas to an appreciative audience.
